Akon threatens to sue Suge Knight after Suge accused him of sexually assaulting a minor in a hotel room during his new podcast Collect Call with Suge Knight. Akon will reportedly file a defamation of character lawsuit against the former music mogul due to the allegations.
According to Complex, Akon stated, "I need to make it very clear that I absolutely deny these outrageous false and disgusting claims Suge Knight made on his podcast about me," Akon said in an exclusive statement shared with Complex. "I've never called, received, or had any contact with Suge Knight since he has been incarcerated. Suge said during the podcast episode, one of his "home girls" told him that Akon and producer Detail sexually assaulted two teenagers, ages 12 and 13. The girls were reportedly his friend's niece and her niece's friend. Knight also alleged that his friend told him Akon encouraged her to leave the children with him while she took care of an affair, and when she returned, it was revealed that Akon and music producer Detail had sex with the young girls. Akon and Suge reportedly didn't get along for years prior to the former Death Row CEO's incarceration. It's rumored that part of their beef stemmed from Akon's former security guard knocking out Suge in a physical altercation. Akon commented about the recent claims against him on the X platform, formerly known as Twitter, he said, "The world knows a lie when they hear it. It's unfortunate that this man is going out like this. It's sad and seriously embarrassing. Regardless of our history, I'm still going to be praying for him."
