Stephen 'tWitch' Boss' Family Accuses His Widow Allison Holker of Telling Lies & Discussing His Sexual Abuse in Her Memoir for Profit
Stephen "tWitch" Boss' family calls out his widow, Allison Holker, claiming she's embellishing the truth about her late husband and revealing private details about his life to sell her memoir, "This Far: My Story of Love, Loss, and Embracing the Light." Twitch's brother, cousin, and friends have come forth, alleging that Allison required his family to sign an NDA to attend his funeral and have separated their children from tWitch's side of the family. His loved ones contend that the memoir invades Stephen's privacy and will destroy his legacy.
Holker's memoir reportedly shares part of the former professional dancer's journal that highlighted childhood sexual abuse he suffered from a male. Holker's memoir also claims 'tWitch'Â was abusing drugs at his time of death, which his family claims is untrue. There were reportedly no drugs in his system at the time of his autopsy.
Yet, Holker contends that she didn't write the book with ill intentions; she instead wrote it for personal relief and for others who struggle with mental health. Holker said she'd be donating 100 percent of the book sales to the Move with Kindness Foundation. Yet, According to TMZ, she threatened the Boss family by stating, "I dare you to write a book about him! Profits will be all mine," in response to their disapproval of the details she put in the memoir.
However, 'tWitch's mother publicly stated her discontent with the situation. She stated via Instagram, "Our family is absolutely appalled by the misleading and hurtful claims made about my son, Stephen Boss. The recent publications spreading untruths about Stephen have crossed every line of decency. As his mother, I will not let these accusations go unanswered. We will not stand by while his name and legacy are tarnished. He doesn't deserve this, and the kids don't deserve this."
She continued, "For the last two years, I have remained quiet and away from the public eye to protect my family. My primary focus has been on healing and attempting to remain connected to my grandchildren. But when I read these dreadful claims about my baby, our beloved Stephen, I realized I could not stay silent any longer. Our family will ensure his name and memory are protected, and we are committed to defending his honor."

Other family and friends chimed in, defending Boss' legacy online. Kelly Gibson, a family friend, replied to Allison's announcement on social media, saying, "I was fully supportive about you moving [on] and being happy but this paycheck was not worth disgracing his name."
According to Vibe, another user replied, "Autopsy > No drugs or alcohol: The autopsy report confirmed that Boss was completely sober when he died,"Â one account typed. "No other wounds: The report also stated that Boss had no additional wounds to his body. No history of suicide: The report also stated that per his family, Boss had no history of suicidal ideation or suicide attempts."
Another dancer, Dana Alexa, called out her fellow dancer for trying to get a quick paycheck. She stated, "I think it makes it WORSE that this is done under the flimsy guise of 'helping someone else.' Just call a spade a spade and tell everyone what they have all already known – it's you out for yourself- desperately wanting fame and attention and it's not for the benefit of anyone except you. Why would this help someone feel safe to ask for help? To know that they'll be exploited by a loved one and have their dirty laundry aired posthumously? This is disloyal. Do better- Fame isn't everything," she said.
Following Holker's interview with PEOPLE, tWitch's cousin, Darielle, expressed her frustrations via X.
She wrote, "I'm so tired of keeping my f-cking mouth shut, bro. You did our family so mf dirty." In another post, she continued, "Yeah idgaf about an NDA. This crazy woman made me and his actual family sign an NDA just to even attend the funeral. She's been trying to tarnish his legacy and refuses to let the Boss family see the children. Only to exploit and LIE on my cousin. Hell no."
'tWitch and Allison met as dancers on So You Think You Can Dance. Before his death, Stephen was a former DJ and co-producer on the Ellen DeGeneres show.
He entered the entertainment industry as a professional dancer and choreographer who competed on MTV's The Wade Robson Project and Star Search. He was found dead at the Oak Tree Inn in Encino, California, with a gunshot wound to his head. His death was ruled a suicide.
RIP, tWitch.
