Sean' Diddy' Combs was reportedly arrested and taken into federal custody today in Manhattan following a grand jury indictment.
For months, a slew of claims of sexual and physical violence and lawsuits have been filed against him. His ex-girlfriend, Cassie Ventura, sued the former music mogul for sex trafficking and abuse in November 2023, which was settled out of court. Part of Ventura's claims stated that Diddy forced her to have sexual intercourse with male prostitutes as he watched and recorded the encounters. Shortly after the lawsuit, CNN showed footage of Diddy beating and kicking Cassie in a Los Angeles hotel.
Combs' homes in Los Angeles and Miami were raided in March by Homeland Security for a sexual trafficking investigation. His sons, Christian Combs and Justin Combs, were handcuffed during the raid. However, the mogul nor his minor children were at his residence during the search.
Several others, including former music producer Rodney "Lil" Rod" Jones, filed a suit against him, claiming that Combs withheld payment from him and sexually harassed him when he worked on Combs' last album.
The most recent lawsuit Combs received was last week—Dawn Richard, a former singer from Danity Kane, sued Diddy. She sued Combs for sexual assault and battery.
Diddy's attorney, Marc Agnifilo, said, "We are disappointed with the decision to pursue what we believe is an unjust prosecution of Mr. Combs by the US Attorney's Office." Marc continued, "He is an imperfect person, but he is not a criminal."
Diddy will reportedly be held overnight and arraigned in court on Tuesday morning.
