The WCF Courier reported that police arrested 21-year-old Martavious Reed of Waterloo and charged him with first-degree murder in connection with Jones' death. He is currently being held without bond.

Authorities allege that Reed chased and shot the victim multiple times in the parking lot of Ryder. Bystanders reportedly attempted to restrain Reed before police arrived, yet he broke free and fled. According to the WCF Courier, local officers apprehended the shooter after he walked out of a nearby field and surrendered.

This is a developing story.
