Nia Dacosta Shines After Candyman Debuts at the Top of The Box Office

Nia Dacosta is making impressive history as a young, black female director in Hollywood. Her recently directed film, 'Candyman,' established her as the first black female director to debut a movie at number 1 in box office history.

Her history-making feat didn't end there. Marvel Studios hired DaCosta to direct the upcoming film, 'The Marvels.' That will make her the youngest person to direct for Marvel Studios.
