Robert Gordy Sr., the brother of Berry Gordy, who founded Motown Records, died at 91. He reportedly passed away from natural causes in his California home. Robert was a successful entertainer, songwriter, and music executive for the label.
He also acted alongside singer Diana Ross in the Billy Holiday story, Lady Sings the Blues. He wrote songs for some of Motown's most popular acts, Marvin Gaye and The Supremes.
Job well done.
May you rest in peace.
