Navy veteran Jarvis McIntyre, 26, who went missing on June 9th in San Antonio, was found dead in a creek at John James Park. According to Jarvis' family, he missed his return flight after checking out of his Airbnb. The Navy man was reportedly in town to visit his sisters and planned to head home a day before his birthday on the 9th.
According to San Antonio authorities, they received a 911 call from a person who reported a racist person with a rifle was chasing him. However, they couldn't find the caller once they arrived at the location where the call was made. The San Antonio Current reports that "He was last seen on Holbrook Road between Rittiman Road and Corrine Drive—police say he was spotted going for a run in John James Park, part of the Salado Creek Greenway, according to multiple media reports."
When the police discovered the 26-year-old's body, his wallet, keys, cell phone, and shoes were missing. McIntyre's mother believes someone hurt him because he was gay and black.
