Megan Thee Stallion Launched a Website for Mental Health & Wellness

Megan Thee Stallion, whose legal name is Megan Pete, has contributed to mental health awareness. Last week, the starlet launched the website https://www.badbitcheshavebaddaystoo.com to assist persons who suffer from depression, grief, and mental health issues and to provide support for members of the LGBTQ community. The site contains many resources, such as the National Crisis Text Line, the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, etc.

Megan has opened up to the media about the death of her parents and certain personal hardships. Pete's mother passed away in 2019 from a brain tumor. Her father was reportedly killed when she was 15, so she has experienced significant grief surrounding their deaths. Nevertheless, she persevered through the loss of her parents and the entertainment industry's demands and graduated from Southern Texas University in 2021 with a Bachelor of Science degree.

The rapper has a pending legal case with singer Torey Lanez from an altercation, where she alleges that Torey shot her in the foot during the summer of 2021. The trial is reportedly postponed until the end of this year.

It's indeed commendable that Pete's using her platform to encourage mental health awareness and maintenance, especially with the massive following that she has. Mental health maintenance is essential yet often overlooked. According to the National Institute of Mental Health, one in five U.S. adults suffers from mental health conditions. Four hundred and fifty million people suffer from mental health disorders worldwide, and the vast majority of those cases are untreated.

Congrats to Megan Thee Stallion for stepping up!
