Mary J. Blige Has Major Star Power: Her $1,295 Giuseppe Zanotti Boots Sold Out the Same Day!
Mary J. Blige's recent collaboration with Giuseppe Zanotti was uber-successful! The queen of Hip-Hop Soul and the fashion powerhouse released the "Mary Boot" this week. The limited edition boot retailed at $1,295 and sold out within hours online at Giuseppe Zanotti.
Blige announced the joint venture via Instagram on Mother's Day, alongside her annual Strength of a Woman Music Festival and Summit. Strength of a Woman is a multi-day event that provides food and entertainment, guest panelists, moderators, and celebrity guests who discuss various topics, such as mental health awareness, financial security, health, community, etc.
Although Blige has always inspired urban fashion, this deal marks the songstress' first significant collaboration with a high-end fashion brand. The Yonkers, New York native's early style, incorporated by her long-time stylist, Misa Hylton, blended tomboy, urban, and edgy. While continuing to work with Hylton and excel in her career, Blige naturally garnered the attention of many brands who utilized her for red-carpet outings, tours, and special events. She therefore developed countless relationships with other exceptional stylists, "such as Jason Rembert and Mauricia Henry, and had several pieces crafted by the likes of Matthew Reisman, Zigman,Michael Ngo,Jennifer Le, Angel Brinks — as well as accessories from her and Simone Smith's own line, Sister Love, according to Vibe. The veteran singer also formed a relationship with the luxury brand MCM.
The songstress has sold over 50 million records worldwide and has won nine Grammys. Blige is also a working actress and entrepreneur.
