LeBron James' $97.1 Million Extension Makes Him the Highest Earner In NBA History

LeBron James is the highest earner in NBA history after receiving a two-year $97.1 million extension. King James was possibly going to retire after this season but was also hopeful that he could team up with his oldest son Bronny who allegedly has his sights on playing in the NBA after he graduates high school this year.

After entering the NBA directly from St. Vincent-St. Mary High School in Akron, Ohio, as the number one draft pick, LeBron has had an epic career. He initially played for the Cleveland Cavaliers; after some tumult with the franchise, he went to play for the Miami Heat, winning two championships. James returned to Cleveland, won the NBA finals, then left again to play with the Lakers, where he won his fourth championship ring.

James has won numerous accolades throughout his career and is the first NBA player to become a billionaire while still playing for the league. He's also a generous philanthropist and opened the (I Promise School) in his hometown of Akron. His family has the LeBron James Family Foundation, which is also based out of Akron.
