Singer Jon Bon Jovi saved a woman from a suicide attempt while shooting his music video on the John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge in Nashville, Tennessee. Bon Jovi and his colleague noticed the woman who was threatening to jump off the bridge. Coincidentally, the John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge was named after a journalist who stopped a man from jumping off the bridge in the 1950s.

The singer and his team were able to notify the local authorities, who reportedly arrived on the scene shortly after Bon Jovi's heroic action.

According to the New York Post, the New Jersey singer founded a charity, the JBJ Soul Foundation, which assists with homelessness, poverty, and hunger and trained the rock star to help with crises.

The city of Nashville and online fans applauded the stars' efforts in the situation; Nashville's police chief, John Drake, acknowledged Bon Jovi online via X; he stated, "A shout out to @jonbonjovi & his team for helping a woman on the Seigenthaler Ped Bridge Tue night." Chief Drake continued, "Bon Jovi helped persuade her to come off the ledge over the Cumberland River to safety; "It takes all of us to help keep each other safe,"--Chief John Drake.

Job well done.
