Ice Cube has offered Iowa's Caitlin Clark $5 million to play in his BIG3 league, a 3-on-3 basketball league that has been gaining popularity for its unique format and high-profile players since its first season in 2017. The music mogul confirmed the offer via the X platform. After TMZ published a story about the offer, Cube posted, "We intended the offer to remain private while Caitlin Clark plays for the championship. But I won't deny what's now already out there: BIG3 made a historic offer to Caitlin Clark. Why wouldn't we? Caitlin is a generational athlete who can achieve tremendous success in the BIG3."

Cube also drew attention to the fact that WNBA players don't earn what they are worth. He explained on X, "America's women athletes should not be forced to spend their off-seasons playing in often dismal and dubious foreign countries just to make ends meet." He continued, "And they should have more than just one professional option in the US at a time when American pro sports leagues are being infiltrated by autocratic, anti-women regimes such as Qatar. Our pathbreaking offer to Caitlin Clark demonstrates that BIG3 now offers another choice for athletes." The league has had several former NBA stars, such as Allen Iverson, Joe Johnson, Stephen Jackson, Nick Young, and Gerald Green.

If Clark decides to play in the BIG3, it won't interfere with her playing time in the WNBA; the league only has ten games per season. In fact, playing in the BIG3 could enhance her visibility and marketability, potentially leading to more opportunities in the WNBA. If Iowa's number 22 takes this offer, she will make history again as the first woman to play in the BIG3. Clark will likely be the NCAA's number-one female basketball draft pick.

Caitlin's team, the Iowa Hawkeyes, advanced to the NCAA's Sweet 16 after defeating West Virginia, which was Caitlin's final college home game. At this time, Clark has yet to respond to Cube's offer.
