In Minnesota, 15,000 nurses went on strike yesterday. The healthcare professionals reportedly walked off the job due to low wages, work hours, patient care, and benefits. The nurses are supposedly looking for a thirty percent wage increase.
Most nurses on strike are from the Twin Cities (Minneapolis and St. Paul)) and Duluth. Many health care professionals have complained about work conditions since the Covid-19 pandemic. Several hospital workers also disagreed with the Covid vaccination mandates.
Some hospitals hired temporary nurses for the duration of the strike, which should last for three days.
