Former boxing champion Roy Jones Jr. announced today that he and his wife Natlyn's son, DeAndre Jones, died from suicide on Saturday. He was 32 years old. Roy and his wife reportedly have three sons, DeShaun, DeAndre, and Roy Jones III.

Roy released the statement via Instagram, stating, "Unfortunately, my son DeAndre took his life on Saturday." He continued, "I'm so thankful that God allowed me to come home Friday night to spend the last night of his life with me and the family," he added. "I know a lot of people are going through tough times right now, but nothing is worth taking your own life."

The boxing champion had a stellar career, winning 66 victories, 47 of which were knockouts. The Pensacola, Florida native came out of retirement to fight Mike Tyson in an exhibition match in 2020.

Prayers to the Jones family.
