The head coach of the Boston Celtics, Ime Udoka, faces suspension from the NBA for having a consensual relationship with a female staff member. Reports claim that the suspension could last for the remainder of the season, considering that romantic fraternization within the organization is a major infraction. However, the head coach will likely keep his job.
Udoka played with the NBA for roughly ten years before becoming the assistant coach for the San Antonio Spurs. He was also an assistant coach for the Philadelphia 76ers and Brooklyn Nets before taking the head coach position for the Celtics. Thus far, he’s done impressive work with the team as a rookie coach. Udoka has been in a long-term relationship with actress Nia Long, with whom he shares a son with.
