Americans May Now Apply for The Biden Administration's Student Loan Forgiveness Program

The Biden administration announced that Americans with student loans may now apply for loan forgiveness via http://studentaid.gov. Persons are eligible if: they are single and earned less than $125,000 in 2020 or 2021 or are married and their household earned less than $250,000 annually. Supposedly the Biden administration will relieve up to $20,000 in student debt per individual with this program.

However, the site is reportedly not live yet, and although applications can be submitted, they will not be processed until the website is live. The government expects the website to be live at the end of October, but that is a tentative date.

Please stay tuned for later updates.
