Actor Jussie Smollett Found Guilty of Falsely Reporting and Staging a Hate Crime

In 2019, actor Jussie Smollet reported that white supremacists violently attacked him while he was in the downtown Chicago area.

Allegedly he hired two brothers, Olabinjo and Abimbola Osundairo, to help him stage the attack. Smollet saw a physician after the pretend attack to have his injuries confirmed.

The trial concluded today. Jussie's lawyer will appeal the guilty verdict.
